The top 5 highlights of Summer 2018
We are in September already! Can you believe it? This year has been flying by, but before we pack our summer dresses away and let the tree leaves turn gold and red, let’s take one last look at Youma’s highlights of Summer 2018.
The World Cup 2018
I was so lucky to be able to attend some of the matches of the World Cup 2018! A business trip took me to Russia and I, of course, couldn’t say no to a game of football or two. I also used this time to explore the beautiful Moscow. Being French it was even more special to be there and support ‘Les Bleus’. A once in a lifetime event!
Monaco Grand Prix
This summer took me to many places including another sporting event the Grand Prix of Monaco. Who doesn’t like powerful cars and the need for speed? In all honesty, I don’t know much about cars, I even failed my driving licence test twice, but it was exhilarating to be there among so many passionate people.
Cannes film festival and Youma Leth official launch
Cannes film festival is one of the most glamorous events of the summer with dozens of celebrities invading the hotels and beaches of the French Riviera. This year it will also be remembered for the official launch and first Youma Leth catwalk show! Our show took place on the famous ‘Croisette’ at the white party by the Carlton. I was very lucky to have 5 beautiful women including Hagda Prata joining me to showcase my creations.
The Athenes dress
My latest creation the beautiful Athenes dress was launched in August. It is one of my favourite dresses and I am so happy to see ho turned out! I love how the design and colours remind me of one of my most-loved summer destinations. If I had to describe it in three words it would be sea, the white-stone houses and sun!
The launch of Youma Leth website
This has been by far the most exciting part of my summer. What used to be an idea in my head is now a fully launched brand with its own website and blog! In the process, I had the chance to work with some fun and talented ladies who helped me make it happen, including our clients. It is all about girl power in this company!
